University of the District of Columbia Names Andre Myers Aquatics Director

WASHINGTON, DC – University of the District of Columbia Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Patricia Thomas, announced the hiring of Andre Myers as Aquatics Director.

"Andre is extremely passionate about aquatics and wellness in general," Thomas said. "He brings a wealth of experience to this position. It is a pleasure to welcome him aboard as our Aquatics Director."

Myers, a 1997 UDC graduate, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Natatorium including university and community programs, staffing, training, and maintenance.

Myers comes to the University of the District of Columbia with a heap of experience as an Aquatics Director and Swim Coach. Myers, a pool manager at UDC and Aquatics coordinator at Trinity Washington University, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice and received a certificate in Counseling Philosophies and Practices in 1998 from UDC.

Myers was a Deep Water Sport Conditioning Instructor/Swim Instructor from 2008 – 2013 at Georgetown University. He also was a general manager at City Center Fitness Club (ProFit).
