Nigel Munson Earns Fourth East Coast Conference Player of the Week Laurel

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY  –  University of the District of Columbia senior guard Nigel Munson has earned his second straight and fourth East Coast Conference player of the week honor of the season for the week ending February 12th.

Munson (Washington, DC - DeMatha HS) registered 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per-game in a 2-0 week for the Firebirds. First, he recorded a game-high 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a win over NYIT, then followed that performance up with another game-high effort of 25 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.

The 6-foot-2, 185 lb. guard currently ranks 26th in Division II in scoring (20.0 ppg) and 9th in assists per-game with 6.4. He has led the Firebirds to a 19-3 overall record and a 10-2 mark in the East Coast Conference thus far.
