October Firebird Nation Sports Update Released
WASHINGTON, DC - The Fall sports season is well underway here at the University of the District of Columbia and this month's Firebird Nation Sports Update will bring you all the sports news from the nation's capital's only public university.
Host Matt Rienzo will check in with the Firebirds head volleyball coach, Sheila Weaver, as well as head men's soccer coach, Matt Thompson. Then, in the Firebird Spotlight, he sits down with soccer student-athlete and team captain, Roque Hernandez.
Rienzo also chats with Director of Athletics, Patricia Thomas, and Associate Director of Athletics, Patrick Knapp to talk about the opening of the new pool at the UDC Van Ness Campus, the online launch of the Booster Club, Firebirds Forever, and much more.
