UDC's Salinas Furio Named ECC Elite 18 Honoree in Men's Soccer

DOBBS FERRY, NY -  On Tuesday afternoon, Victor Salinas Furio (Valencia, Spain) of University of the District of Columbia was honored as the East Coast Conference Elite 18 Award winner for the sport of men's soccer. Salinas Furio was presented the award prior to the Firebirds' semifinal contest at Mercy College. The ECC Elite 18 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 18 championships.

Salinas Furio is currently a graduate student but earns the award for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a 3.93 grade point average as an Architecture major. Furio has started 17 of 19 contests for UDC this season, amassing two goals and three assists for seven points. Salinas Furio is also a two-time All-Conference Third Team selection for the Firebirds.
