Bio

Thomas Pool joined head men's soccer coach Matt Thompson's staff in March, 2013. He will serve as a volunteer and assist Coach Thompson in the day-to-day operations of the Firebirds men's soccer program.

Pool earned a Master's degree in Resource Management in December 2012 and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management in 2010, both from Slippery Rock University. While an undergraduate at SRU, he had a highly-decorated career from 2008-2010. He was an NCAA Division II All-American, First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference for two years straight in 2009 and 2010. He helped the "The Rock" to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship in 2009 while playing under Thompson.

Pool has also been heavily involved in helping to establish and continue to run a charity called Forgotten Angels, aimed at helping disadvantaged children all over the world through sport. The work involved travelling to St. Lucia, New Orleans and Haiti to raise funds for a group of athletes to take part in sporting activities.
