FLUSHING, NY – Four members of the University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team competed in Day 2 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional Championship, Sat., Sept. 15 at Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
In the Women's Singles Round of 64, junior transfer Marija Milic defeated Andrea Gallard (Roberts Wesleyan), 6-4, 6-0. She was later forced to retire in her next match, the Round of 32, trailing Stonehill College's Isabelle Porter, 6-4, 5-1.
In doubles action, Pärn and Milic were defeated in the Round of 32 by Goldey-Beacom College's Catarina Zheng and Lotte Lesscher y Post, 8-5. Also, Danylova and Skrzypczynska were bested, 9-7 by Southern New Hampshire's Sofia Morais and Anna Sala.
