UDC Volleyball Team Defeats Virginia Union 3-0

Richmond, Va: September 17, 2008--The University of the District of Columbia Lady Firebirds defeated the Virginia Union Lady Panthers 3-0 tonight in Richmond, Virginia. Senior Karen Trevino paced UDC to the win with 10 kills and 4 service aces. Sophomore Ashley Jefferson added 9 kills and 2 service aces, and senior Anne Sanchez contributed 7 kills and 2 service aces. Sophomore Carmen Smith made 27 set assists during the match.

UDc returns to action on September 23, at home against the visiting Virginia Union Panthers . UDC is now 3-10 for the season.
