UDC Men's Lacrosse Fall to Felician in Season Opener
Sparks, MD – The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds opened their 2025 men's lacrosse season on the road against Felician University but were unable to find their rhythm, falling 15-2 at Tierney Field.
Despite a strong defensive effort in the early minutes, UDC struggled to keep pace with Felician's offensive attack. The Firebirds managed to score one goal in the first quarter and another in the third, but Felician used a dominant third-quarter run to put the game out of reach.
First Quarter:
- Maxwell Hansberry scored UDC's first goal of the season at 10:20, assisted by Julian Schemm, tying the game at 1-1.
- Felician responded with two quick goals, ending the quarter ahead 3-1.
Second Quarter:
- UDC's offense stalled as Felician outscored them 3-0, taking a 6-1 halftime lead.
- The Firebirds struggled to get clean shot opportunities, with Felician's defense forcing turnovers.
Third Quarter:
