Henry Named Rookie of the Week; O’Brien Earns Honor Roll Recognition

Washington, D.C. — The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team earned weekly recognition following its season opener, as Myles Henry was named Rookie of the Week and Aiden O'Brien earned Honor Roll honors.

Henry made an immediate impact in his collegiate debut, contributing to four of UDC's six goals in a narrow 7–6 contest against Felician. The freshman recorded three assists and one goal, showcasing his offensive versatility and playmaking ability in his first collegiate appearance.

In addition to his scoring contributions, Henry dominated the ground game, securing a game-high 10 ground balls and adding a caused turnover. His ability to control possession and generate offense from multiple positions set the tone for the Firebirds in the season opener.

O'Brien anchored the defensive effort and earned Honor Roll recognition after a standout performance on the back end. The defender recorded four caused turnovers and collected three ground balls, consistently disrupting offensive possessions and limiting scoring opportunities. His defensive presence played a pivotal role in keeping the contest within one goal throughout the afternoon.

The Firebirds will look to build on their strong individual performances as they continue non-conference play in the weeks ahead.
