Henry Earns Third ECC Rookie of the Week Honor; Amajioyi Named to Honor Roll
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of the District of Columbia men's lacrosse team closed out the regular season with recognition from the East Coast Conference, as Myles Henry was named ECC Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, while Israel Amajioyi earned a spot on the ECC Honor Roll.
Henry continued his standout rookie campaign with a strong all-around performance, stepping into a key role at the face-off position. Playing out of position, he went 7-for-18 at the face-off X while leading the team with 12 ground balls. He also added two caused turnovers, impacting the game on both ends of the field and helping generate possessions for the Firebirds.
Amajioyi delivered a solid performance in goal, recording 16 saves while facing 31 shots on target. His efforts helped keep UDC competitive against a high-volume offensive attack, consistently making key stops throughout the contest.
