UDC Men's Soccer Voted to Finish Fifth in the ECC Preseason Poll

Washington, DC – The University of the District of Columbia's Men's Soccer team was voted to finish fifth in the ECC preseason poll. The Firebirds, who haven't competed since early fall of 2019, have 14 returning players and 13 newcomers.

UDC has six starters from the 2019 season returning, including Third-Team All-Conference player Vitor Gomes. The Firebirds finished out the 2019 season with a 7-11 overall record and a 4-4 ECC record. 

The ECC welcomes newcomers D'Youville and Staten Island, in their first season of D2 Soccer.

UDC will begin their season on Friday, September 3rd, against Seton Hill. The game is set to go off at 2:00pm.
