UDC Men’s Tennis Defeats Frostburg State 6-1 in Season-Opener

FROSTBURG, Md- The University of the District of Columbia's Men's tennis team defeated Frostburg State 6-1, in their Fall season-opener.

The Firebirds won the doubles point with wins at No.2 and 3. After a tough 7-5 loss at No.1 doubles, both Zicheng Zeng and Louis Mangeon went on to win their singles matches at No.1 and 2 respectively.

Juan Estevez Hernandez, Mauricio Corty, and Maksim Bahdanovich secured UDC victory winning their singles matches at No. 3,4 and 5. After a win with doubles partner Bahdanovich at No.3, Fredis Ayala suffered a tough loss at No.6 singles.

Next up, the Firebirds will compete in the ITA East Regional Championships on Friday, September 17-19.
