Zeng and Mangeon Go Undefeated Against USciences But Firebirds Suffer 5-2 Loss

PHILADELPHIA, PA- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team fell to USciences, on Sunday evening at the Hamlin Center. The Firebirds are now 1-1 on the Fall season.

With only five players, UDC started the match with a disadvantage and automatically down a point. A win from Louis Mangeon and Zicheng Zeng at No.1 put the Firebirds in the race to win the doubles point, but a tough 6-4 loss at No.2 saw them going into singles play down 0-2.

USciences went on to win at No. 3, 4, and 5 to secure the victory over the Firebirds. Zeng and Mangeon both went on undefeated on the day finishing with wins at No.1 and 2.

UDC (1-1) will head back to Philadelphia this week to face off against Millersville on Wednesday, October 13. The first match starts at 2:00 pm.
