Queguiner, Evamy Lead Firebirds Effort at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The University of the District of Columbia men's tennis team fell 5-2 to West Chester University in non-conference action.

West Chester claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, along with a default at No. 3 to take an early 1-0 lead.

UDC responded in singles play with two victories. At the top spot, Elouan Queguiner delivered a strong performance, earning a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Ambrose Evamy followed with a hard-fought victory at No. 2, battling through a tight contest to defeat Alessandro Melotti 7-5, 7-6(6), 1-0(8).

West Chester secured the remaining singles matches to clinch the team victory.

The Firebirds will close out conference play on Saturday as they travel to Daemen for a road matchup.
