LaQuanda Brandon Wins HSRN Division II Women's Player of the Week Fan Poll (Feb. 15-21, 2009)

Hartly, DE - The results are in for the eighth weekly Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) fan poll National Player of the Week. HSRN developed the fan poll to get all HBCU alumni, students and fans involved with the national process and to also give everyone a chance to consistently keep up with the individual performances around the country. 

LaQuanda Brandon, a senior guard on the University of the District of Columbia Women's Basketball Team has won the Division II Women's Basketball Fan Poll, accumulating 2005 votes to her opponent's 427 for the week of February 15-21, 2009.

 Brandon  scored 23 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 2 assists in the UDC Women’s 74-71 win over Shaw University on February 19. She also scored 14 points and collected 9 rebounds in their 65-40 defeat of Columbia Union College on February 16. This week’s voting results are:
Brandon – 2,005, Takesha Riggs (Ft. Valley St.) – 427.
