UDC Women's basketball Clinches ECC Play-off Spot

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's women's basketball has officially clinched their spot in the East Coast Conference tournament next month.

The Firebirds (12-13, 8-8 ECC) will take part in their first post-season since 2016 and is the first play-off tournament under Head Coach Nakpodia. Due to COVID protocols, the tournament will be hosted by the highest seed throughout instead of a predetermined site. UDC's seed will be determined this weekend after they host Mercy College and the first round of the tournament will be held on March 2nd.

The Firebirds will be facing off against St Thomas Aquinas tomorrow evening in N.Y. The tip-off time is set for 5:30 pm and the game will be live-streamed on the ECC network.
