Todd Named ECC Rookie of the Week, Ellis Earns Honor Roll Recognition

Washington, D.C. — The University of the District of Columbia women's basketball team earned weekly recognition from the East Coast Conference, as Le'Asia Todd was named ECC Rookie of the Week and Aiyana Ellis was selected to the ECC Honor Roll following the Firebirds' 64–55 victory over Roberts Wesleyan.

Le'Asia Todd delivered a dominant performance to secure Rookie of the Week honors (second of the season), leading the Firebirds with a double-double of 14 points and 18 rebounds. The freshman was efficient offensively, shooting 5-of-9 from the field, while anchoring the defense with six blocks. Todd also added two assists and a steal, controlling the paint on both ends and playing a pivotal role in UDC's conference win.

Aiyana Ellis earned Honor Roll recognition (5th of the season) after a complete all-around effort in the victory. Ellis finished with 13 points, while also contributing seven assists, six rebounds, four blocks, and three steals. Her ability to facilitate the offense, disrupt defensively, and impact the game in multiple areas was instrumental in the Firebirds' balanced team performance.

The Firebirds will look to build on this momentum as they continue East Coast Conference play.
