Todd Earns Fourth ECC Rookie of the Week Honor; Eason Named to Honor Roll
Washington, D.C. — The University of the District of Columbia women's basketball team collected additional weekly recognition from the East Coast Conference, as Le'Asia Todd was named ECC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season and Aliyah Eason earned a spot on the ECC Honor Roll.
Todd continued her dominant freshman campaign with a standout two-game stretch. In a 1–1 week, she averaged 15.5 rebounds, 10.5 points, 5.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game, while shooting an efficient 64 percent from the field.
Against Molloy, Todd delivered one of the most impressive rebounding performances in recent conference history, pulling down 24 rebounds — just four shy of the ECC single-game record — including 20 defensive boards. She added 11 points, five blocks, and a steal in the effort.
She followed with another strong performance in UDC's win over Staten Island, recording 10 points, seven rebounds, five blocks, and three steals, anchoring both ends of the floor. Todd's interior dominance, rim protection, and consistency continue to separate her as one of the conference's top freshmen.
Eason earned Honor Roll recognition after a breakout performance in the Firebirds' win over Staten Island. The sophomore guard exploded off the bench for a career- and game-high 30 points, knocking down 6-of-9 from three-point range to spark UDC offensively.
