The postseason meeting will mark the third matchup between the two programs this season. During the regular season, UDC went 0-2 against the Lions — but both contests were tightly contested battles.
In the first meeting at the EB Henderson Sports Complex, Molloy pushed the Firebirds to overtime in a physical, high-intensity showdown where UDC ultimately fell . In the most recent matchup, UDC once again battled deep into the fourth quarter before the Lions pulled away late to secure the win.
