WASHINGTON, D.C. – University of the District of Columbia women's basketball standout Aiyana Ellis has been named Second-Team All-Conference by the East Coast Conference following a dominant 2025–26 campaign.

Ellis played and started in 22 games this season, averaging 13.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game while anchoring the Firebirds on both ends of the floor.

She finished the regular season ranked first in the conference in blocked shots, fourth in rebounding, and 11th in scoring, establishing herself as one of the league's most complete and impactful players.

Ellis scored in double figures in 16 games this season, consistently providing scoring production while serving as the defensive backbone of the Firebirds' lineup. Her rim protection, rebounding presence, and versatility allowed UDC to compete at a high level throughout conference play.

Her individual excellence was recognized throughout the season, as Ellis earned two ECC Player of the Week honors, two ECC Defensive Player of the Week honors, and multiple appearances on the ECC Honor Roll.

Ellis' Second-Team All-Conference selection reflects not only her statistical impact but also her leadership, consistency, and defensive dominance. Her performance this season played a critical role in the Firebirds' success and postseason qualification.

With her latest accolade, Ellis further cements her place among the conference's elite and leaves a lasting mark on the UDC women's basketball program.
