Firebirds Defeated By Barton on the Road

Wilson, NC – The University of the District of Columbia women's lacrosse team was unable to overcome a fast-paced Barton offense, falling 24-2 on the road. Despite early struggles, the Firebirds were able to break through in the fourth quarter to get on the scoreboard.

Barton set the tone early with a dominant 10-goal first quarter, followed by another five goals in the second, while UDC was held scoreless heading into halftime.

Barton continued its offensive efficiency, scoring five more times while the Firebirds fought to gain possession and generate scoring opportunities.

UDC showed a late spark, netting two goals in the final period. Grace Hall and Michelle Mitchell both found the back of the net for the Firebirds.
