DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The University of the District of Columbia women's lacrosse team closed out its 2026 season with a road contest against Mercy, falling 20-2 on Saturday morning.
Mercy set the tone early, scoring 10 goals in the opening quarter and building a 14-0 lead at halftime. Despite the early deficit, the Firebirds continued to compete and found the back of the net in the second half.
Jada Williams led the Firebirds offensively, recording both goals for UDC with a pair of unassisted finishes in the third and fourth quarters.
Defensively, goalkeeper Natalia Perkins tallied 14 saves in net while facing heavy pressure throughout the contest.
UDC generated six total shots and added five ground balls on the day, continuing to battle against a Mercy team that entered the matchup unbeaten in conference play.
