UDC Women's Indoor Track & Field Set to Begin Season on 12/9 in Staten Island

WASHINGTON,DC- The University of the District of Columbia's women's Indoor Track & Field team, is set to kick off the 2022-23 on December 9th.

The Firebirds schedule is seven Meet's strong as it stands, starting with the Seahawk Shooutout on December 9th and concluding with the ECC Championship on February 19th. 

UDC will head back to N.Y. after the Holiday break for the HBCU Showcase, before heading back home to compete in a local meet in Landover MD hosted by Catholic University. 

From January 27th- February 11th, the Firebirds will be competing in meets in VA, including the two-day DII Pre Nationals meet. 

UDC was ranked to place 5th at the ECC Indoor Championship meet to take place in Staten Island, N.Y. The Firebirds return five student-athletes from last year's roster including Ayesha Jarrett, Iyanna Jackson and Christine Taylor, all of who made ECC All-Conference teams in their events. They also welcome eight new Freshmen into the mix.
