Firebirds Announce 2025–26 Indoor Track & Field Schedule

Washington, D.C. – The University of the District of Columbia women's track and field team has announced its 2025–26 indoor season schedule, featuring six meets as the Firebirds transition from a strong cross country campaign into the indoor championship season.

UDC opens the indoor season on December 6th at the TCNJ Indoor Opener in New York, marking the first of several high-level competitions designed to prepare the Firebirds for postseason success.

After the holiday break, the Firebirds return to action on January 9th at the Spartan Invitational in Staten Island, followed by the Cardinal Track & Field Classic on January 17th in Landover, Maryland. The following week, the team travels south for the VMI Invitational in Lexington, Virginia, scheduled for January 23–24.

The indoor season reaches its peak on February 15th, when the Firebirds return to Staten Island to compete in the East Coast Conference Indoor Championships, where they will look to build upon last year's impressive third-place team finish. UDC will close out the regular season at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet on February 27th, also in Staten Island — a key opportunity to secure qualifying marks for NCAA postseason competition.
