Firebirds Shine at TCNJ Last Chance Meet
EWING, N.J. – The University of the District of Columbia women's track & field team delivered a strong showing at the TCNJ Last Chance Meet, highlighted by multiple podium finishes and championship performances.
Kyndra Hines continued her impressive indoor campaign in the 60-meter hurdles. Hines qualified for the final with a time of 8.69s in the prelims before clocking 8.55s in the final to place second overall.
Senior Kayleigh Shelton also advanced to the finals in the 60-meter hurdles, posting an 8.93s qualifying time before finishing fourth in the final with a personal best time of 8.83s.
In the field events, Zoe Shaw claimed first place in the high jump, clearing 1.63 meters (5-4.25) to secure the victory.
Emmanuela Katou Kouami delivered one of the day's top performances, winning the weight throw with a mark of 18.43 meters (60-5.75). This mark is a new personal best and a new UDC school record.
