Jarrett Finishes Top 10 In Blazer Blitz at Hood College

Frederick, Md. -The University of the District of Columbia's women's cross-country team delivered a solid performance at the Hood College Blazer Blitz, held at Utica Park. The Firebirds competed in a 4k delivering some solid individual performances.

Senior Ayesha Jarrett led the Firebirds with a time of 17:37.1, placing 10th overall in the race and earning a medal. Freshman Yalix Lina followed with a time of 19:18.1, finishing 25th. Other notable finishes included Nhaikyia Smith (26th, 19:32.6), Tukey Francis (27th, 20:51.6), and Janel Baxter (30th, 23:16.8).

Next up, UDC will head to the Salisbury Cross Country Invitational on September 28th.
