Jepkogei Leads Firebirds in 5K Performance

Colmar Manor, MD- Freshman Aksa Jepkogei paced the University of the District of Columbia women's cross country team at the Bison Invite, finishing 14th overall with a time of 21:45.9.

Mariela Hernandez followed with a time of 26:54.7, while Dayna Thompson (31:29.8), Kyndra Hines finished (31:34.5) and Ryana Goldson  (33:35.6) rounded out UDC's effort.

Next up, the Firebirds will compete in the East Coast Conference Championships — their final meet of the season — on October 25.
