Firebirds Drop First Loss of the Season at Seton Hill, 3–1

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The University of the District of Columbia men's soccer team suffered their first loss of the 2025 season, falling 3–1 on the road to Seton Hill University on Wednesday afternoon at DSG Field.

The Firebirds (3–1) struck first in the 23rd minute when Zachary Parker connected on a header off a corner kick from Alexander Stevens-Lee, giving UDC a 1–0 advantage.

Seton Hill (3–1) responded in the second half, scoring three unanswered goals. James Aubrey netted the equalizer in the 50th minute, followed by a penalty kick from Julian Marker in the 84th minute, and Tristan Wilson added an insurance goal in the 88th minute.

The Griffins outshot the Firebirds 18–16, with both teams recording five saves apiece. UDC's goalkeeper Sergio Becerra posted five saves in 90 minutes of action

The Firebirds held a commanding 11–3 advantage in corner kicks but could not capitalize after their first-half breakthrough.

UDC will look to bounce back when they return to action, kicking off East Coast Conference (ECC) play on the road, this Saturday when they face Mercy University.
